Lorna Shaw - Comedy Biography

Lorna Shaw is a comedian, writer, actor and improviser. ​

As a solo performer, Lorna's TV and Radio credits include ‘Plebs’ ITV2, 'The Midnight Beast' E4, BBC Comedy Feeds 'Life Guru' and 'Newsjack' on BBC Radio 4 amongst others.

She is currently developing a comedy radio series about Princess party entertainers with Pier Productions.

A gifted comic improviser, Lorna performs regularly at the Free Association on one of their in-house teams, 'My Brother Jose’. A talented musician too, she fronts a comedy band for children, ‘Small Laces’.​

She is also one half of critically acclaimed comedy duo, That Pair, who have sold out both Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe and the Soho Theatre. Together they have appeared on Radio 4's 'Sketchorama' and were Funny Women Awards finalists 2012.

In 2017, Lorna took her debut solo show 'Ava Rage' to the Edinburgh Fringe to critical acclaim "★★★★ Lorna is an 'Exceptional' talent who is going places." - Funny Women. Lorna is currently performing as Ava Rage at comedy clubs across the UK: Overwhelmed by choice and paralysed by indecision, Lorna Shaw's character stand-up Ava celebrates the 'average' in all of us.
